    38-40 / 38 WCF favorite loads

I am looking for recommendations for my 38-40 revolver. I have cast bullets 155 and 180 gr. It is a new caliber for me without a lot of data.

I researched this issue a couple of moths ago. You might want to google an article by John Goin´s aka Beagle on 1000 fps loads in .38 Spec case for a .357 Mag Revolver. There is at least one Handloader Mag article on this topic available on the I-net too.

    google?
scroll down and click on the cast-pic's logo.

with the 180's 7.5grs of unique is a good load and duplicates original velocity's and such nicely.
you have to watch the shoulder on the cases quite often the die set the revolvers and the rifles all have different ideas about what the 38-40 should look like.
I ended up taking 10 thou off my size die but I could have taken the same amount off my shell holder.
