Remington mod. 788 chambered in. 243 pushing 100 gr. SPBT Sierra King over 34.7 gr. Of 4064. Tack driving accuracy and drops them where they stand. - CASTER
In regards to shooting safety.Until you are ready to fire, keep your booger hook off the bang switch.

Savage 325c in .30-.30. Which is fitting as Michigan probably has the most .30-.30 of any state mostly of the model 94 and 336 variety though. No cast bullets yet but, eventually.

My 12 year old son will be using an H&R rifle in .357 Mag loaded with 158XTP (if I don't have a chance to get a good load with the SWC boolits I recently ordered before hand). I will be carrying a 20ga slug shooter alongside him. A long shot where we hunt is 80 yards.

Same gun I used since pap took me out when I was 12 yrs old . My little rem model 600 in 35 rem with an old weaver 2.5x sitting on top . Love that gun and all those years of memories that are attached to it .

Ruger Mini 30 7.62x39 with some 125 gr PPU round nose soft points. Haven't tried cast in it yet but plan to. Got my first deer with it when I was 12, haven't got anything in the 20 odd years since, maybe it has some luck.

Kimber 84M Classic/ Zeiss 2.5-10X50 T* scope in .260 Remington. Neck shots up to 200 yards. I will have access to a "new to me" hunting place this year and I hope to take a deer with my Winchester M94 30-30 with my own cast boolits, Lee C309-170F or Accurate 31-155B.

Want to use my Yugo M48, 2.5 Leopold 'scout scope' and a 205 grain cast boolets for a NE whitetail. Then if I get a chance for a second one, my Shaw barreled 358 Win and a NOE 35-230 fn. Only 9 more days till 'Deer Camp', wouldn't omega fast enough !

Since I ran out of time I will probably use a Rem M SEVEN KS in 350 Rem Mag; 247 gr FN @ 2,000 fps. or Rem SEVEN FS in 7-08 7mm Thor at 2,150 fps; these have somewhat standardized loads and are sighted in.
If time permits maybe a Win 94 in 38-55 or would like to try a 458 WM with a 405 FN @ 1,300 fps.
12 yr daughter will use her Kimber 84 Mont in 243 win.

Wildwilly, I've got the same gun, same caliber. I love that gun, I will also be bringing my newly aquired Ruger 77 RSI in 308. I need to get some lead bullets for that gun, just running out of time.
Here is the last deer I got with the mountain rifle.

91-50 Mosin with a 180 gr boolit over some 2400, I scoped it with a 2 power Simmons pistol scope on a scoutmount for my daughter but she lost interest, so its my new doe poker.
AR15 goes bang, AK47 goes bang, Mosin goes boom...
