what are you using for deer this season?

I haven't used one rifle all season for years- but I lost a lifelong friend this year so I'm dedicating this season to him. His only deer rifle was a 25-06 so I will use mine all season. Tell me what y'all are using! Best, Thomas.

I have a couple sighted in but going with a Winchester 94AE in .356 Winchester. Scoped with a 2-8 power Vari X 3. Seems good to 150 yards with a 225 grain cast boolits.
Oh great, another thread that makes me spend money.

Marlin 336 in 35 Rem. with RCBS 35-200, Ruger #1 in 270 with j-words, and Ruger Bisley Hunter in 41 Mag with Mihec 41-265. All are dialed in and ready to hunt.

Boy, I'll say! Take a Chevy Lumina at 3500 lbs. That is 24,500,000 grains, traveling at 88fps (60 mph).
That calculates into 421,243 foot pounds. Yep. Got my 45-70 beat by a pretty wide margin!
    And yet......NO RECOIL!

Did you ever try anything a little heavier like this. Back before mine got stolen I would have like to put something like this in the ole 38wcf. I think it would have added to the thumper appeal as well as a bit deeper penetrating for those raking shots on those bigger animals.

to many Kbs to upload pic, so here is the link

Torn between or a combination of My Grandfather's 1894 .30wcf, my .308 Remington 700, my 300BLK, or 870 with a rifled barrel. Leaning towards the Winchester... its been a while since it has made it to deer camp.

This Muzzleloader season I carried a TC 370 gr .50 cal Maxi Ball in my CVA Optima -- saw a buck, but didn't have a shot.

Beginning this Saturday I will be carrying my Marlin 45-70 with a 350 gr Ranch Dog boolit. I think that I have a better chance of seeing hogs, so these may not be overkill after all...
