Not a lot I can add that I didn’t say 2 years ago but the only thing I didn’t like about the Hornady measure was the QD bushings self detaching on the LNL but that wasn’t he measures fault. Is older brother, the RCBS measure is a good one too. I didn’t find that either were a night and day improvement over the Dillon with powders that don’t meter very well like the old “long cut” 3130.

Jmorris, you and Kent Lomont are the only two people I have heard from who share my disdain for the L-N-L system's penchant for self-detaching while in use. Give me screw-in dies with lock rings every time...

You just have to crank on them with pliers a little and they stay just fine. Some guys can’t stand the thought of teeth marks on any of their stuff though. It’s a great system once you get over that aspect. I hand tight all my dies except the powder measure and it gets the pliers treatment.

Hornady will send you shims, free. Just little aluminum rings. Pull the orings and put on the shims and then put the orings back on. Tightens everything up. Sometimes too tight, and you wind up needing a wrench anyway. But then it's really nice and snug and you don't have to worry about things working loose. I try to keep shims on all my die sets and just call them up every time I get a new caliber and they send me a couple packs.
