    Third Casting

Third casting session went better. Probably about 30% rejects. Considering the MiHec was brand new I dont think that is bad.

300 blackout is a NOE .311 230 grain Flat nose. A fellow forum member yondering removed the lube groves. It now drops around 244 grains.

    9mm is a MiHec .359-125grain (9mm) HP Flat base.

    Doing good...third time's the charm.

Actually moulds , especially aluminum and brass , need to be broken in, the cavities will develop a coating only achieved by casting. Mine start acting right after three heat cycling sessions ( no casting just heating and let slowly cool ) and then after the third casting session, they are good to go.

Its smokes powder. A guy from this form. I actually do two thin coats. With the 300 blackout i actually rub off the powder off the top of the bullet so the driving area is only thickly covered.
