    Ted Williams Model 73 (30-06)

    Evening everyone,

Has anyone had any experience with a Ted Williams model 73 in 30-06? My limited research has told me that it is a sears branded Winchester mod 70 with a blind magazine.....any stories...value???

    Regards,

Reads like what Winchester, themselves, sold at various times as a M70A, M670, and M70Ranger.

    A plainer M70 is still a M70 and a great rifle.

Store-branded firearms, like the Sear's Ted Williams, are usually valued about 15% less than the same firearm that carries only the maker's brand.

The blind-mag version of the M70 was the M670 and was manufactured after 1964 when Winchester revamped the M70 to reduce manufacturing costs.

One of my hunting buddies has one and with good rings and mounts it shoots like a dream.....I have shot it several times and I like them.
When guns are outlawed only criminals and the government will have them and at that time I will see very little difference in either!
