I have several cases of Rio in 20ga. Never owned a 20 for a long time. Well I have an old stevens bolt gun but did not see a whole pile of use so a box of cheap wal mart tended to last a while in it. Now I have 5 20ga. Place near me gets $60 something a case for 20. Was getting the 1 1/8 shells, but guess cant get them anymore. So I have plenty of Rio, so will invest in a tool to fix them. Dig around for the proper primers.
I am not sure why the 2 3/4 Rio version of BPI is nearly half the cost of a US spec 2 3/4 BPI hull. Unless they are not made by BPI. And I thought Rio was made in the US anyways, as they had that plant here in TN that blew up and cut into the supply.
It would be nice if we could say for certain what we were buying. I was reading how many shells are made by a single company, just with different names stamped on them. And I bought some of the cheap bulk pack winchester a while back, 12ga, said 1 1/8o load. Only they werent. I was peeling them open to melt the shot down and put Lee slugs in them. Seemed odd another box of the same winchester, they fit different. When I weighed them, they were in fact 1 oz loads. Guess they didnt figure anybody would ever know as being cheap nobody wants to reload them, and whos going to peel them open to check. Those cheap winchester crimped like ****.
