    Hunting success with Swage!

I seem to recall a thread on the cast boolits side of our forums of members posting hunting success they have had with bullets they have cast themselves. With hunting season approaching I suspect there are many here (myself included) that would love to see and hear about future and past hunting success we have had with jacketed bullets we have swaged ourselves. It will be fun for those of use to look at that didn't draw a tag this year and will have to wait till next year to try out any new bullets.

I know of many here who have posted about their success over the years yet it is scattered all about this swaging sub forum. Maybe we can gather up all those pics and stories into one thread. I have a couple success stories I will share with pics from the success I have had with my 30 cal bullets. I know of another here that has done very well in the Midwest with 41 cal bullets from 9mm on whitetails with his contender, another fellow Oregonian here that took a frontal shot on an elk with a bullet made from brass with rather , and I'm sure there are more out there.

Even if it is links to previous hunting success threads here or you wish to share your story again I would love to hear about all the details.

Good hunting to you all this year that are lucky enough to get out and enjoy the time in the hills.

    Be safe and swage on!

The rifle i used om these hunts is a custom made .425 Westley Richards and the bullets were made from army brass.
    Happy hunting

I'm sure most of you have seen this one.
but it's from this year, and the results from an earlier discussion we were having in here.
I still need to find a way to get better penetration.
I had a core/jacket separation on the big guy and found the bullet under the skin.
on the other one I had the core/jacket stay together but still didn't get the penetration I want.
the bullets are opening too quickly.
