    Remington 11 16G vs Browing A5

Does anyone know if the buttstock for a Browning A5 16G will fit the Remington 11 16G? Thanks!

I don't know for sure either way, but a quick check of GPC's website shows different part numbers.

Maybe check with some of the custom stock makers???

    .

IDK, but if the A5 stock you're considering is from a post-76 Browning/Miroku, I would WAG that there's less of a chance that it will fit the Remington.

I can't recall the mismatch in dimensions, or where the problem lies, but as I remember, they are not interchangeable. Some difference in the tang dimensions, IIRC. Not totally sure about this one, but pretty sure.

I can't answer your question about 16 GA guns, but with the 12 GA guns there's a difference in the tangs, BUT there are also several variations of Remington Model 11 stocks, so I don't have a straight forward answer for you. As Mk42 Gunner suggested, you could try calling somebody like Macon or maybe Wenig and they should be able to help you out. If you can't get an answer from them two, post back here and I will see what I can dig up.

    "FOR 16 GAUGE & 20 GAUGE REMINGTON MODEL 11:

SERIES 2 BUTT STOCK IS FOR SERIAL NUMBER BELOW 1,038,000
SERIES 3 BUTT STOCK IS FOR SERIAL NUMBER ABOVE 1,038,000
