Webley/Eley 455-265-HB, hollow base boolit, Cramer style mold (re-run)

Webley/Eley 455-265-HB, hollow base boolit, Cramer style mold

Some shooters contacted me about possibility running again GB (Group Buy) for following mold:

    - Webley/Eley 455-265-HB, hollow base
    - Cramer style, 2 cavities, 4 cavities
    - Weight 265 grains using pure lead, few grains less using WW

    Standard diameter will be .455.

For those who would like to have larger diameter for S&W and Colt chambered in 455 Eley, please let me know boolit diameter you would prefer to have.

Price for 4cav brass mold is 140$ shipped (complete with all goodies)

Also, there is possibility for separate solid base pins.

Here are links for the first GB:

Please let me know if you are interested.

    4 cavity .455 please

    sortkrudt <at> webspeed [dot] dk

Im kinda in and out, as i live in europe there is no idea of the mould going back and forth across the pond. So maybe it's easier for me to do direct buisness with Mihec?

But im in for the count to make this happen!

The molds will ship direct from Mihec so there will not be any excess shipping back and forth. That certainly would add up quickly if they had to make it here, and then back, not just in cost but time too.

Maybe I didn't read very carefully, but who is the mold maker on this group buy and what material will be used? I am interested as a black powder round for 45colt/schofield.

    MP moulds : http://www.mp-molds.com/index.php?pr=Molds

His preferred material for HB/HP moulds is Brass. It is stronger when hot and will stand the HB/HP pins working without galling up the mould.

These bullets are way long and might be to long for 45LC!
Seated to the top lube groove they are at least 1/8" to long for my 1873 SAA

Thanks for the clarification. MP brass molds are awesome, but I think I will sit this group buy out.

FYI, I got one from the previous GB and while the nose is too long to fit the cylinder when using. 45 Colt brass, they work fine when loaded in .45 Schofield brass and they also then feed well in the Marlin 1894CB and are accurate with 5 grains of Bullseye.

    Hi Ron

I am interested in a mold, either 2 or 4 cavity. Hollow base for the Webley .455. I am in the UK.

Put me down for a 4 cavity as above. The one cavity mold I have been using is way too slow.
