    JustBill,

I have the 357 dies as shown above in stock in my BTSniper premium offering. Not much point yet in making these in BTSimple when I have them already available on the shelf.

Send me a PM if interested.

Instead of a 300 Blackout suppressed, why not a .357 Max just for giggles.

The 357 AR already exists . Essentially a rimless 357 maximum loaded to AR15 pressures. Starline makes "223 basic" cases which are a straight walled 223 case. MDWS makes barrels.

The barrels were a "group buy" kind of setup but they decided to offer them as a semi custom.

    I have a 16" one right now I got in "round 3".

Looks like about $280 for an 18"

I was just shooting a few swaged Lee 200 grain round flat....you know it is not a 5.56 when you send one of those down range at 1950fps

That's where I got the idea, however where did you get that price? Last I saw was $325 with only 4 left. I priced out making my own and for about $375 its possible to make 2 barrels, 1 pistol and 1 rifle.

From that link right there. I priced barrel blanks, and buying a reamer, can make headspace gauge.

The round 3 barrels were $325 delivered.....I can work voluntary OT so I just worked a weekend and ordered one . I fight between being cheap and practical ...I have done lots of bolt action barrels but have not yet made an AR barrel from scratch.

$280 is an even better deal..might be some shipping on top of that.

What is the heaviest .357 max swaged. I'm tooling up to make .358 jackets from LC .223 brass and can only find 250 as the heaviest, I prefer as close to full Metal jackets for the AR I can swage, which means an open tip with the smallest meplat. Since I'm cutting the jackets from cases I can make them any length per run.
    A ny info. Is helpful.
    Thanks ,
    Bill

That will depend on the gun they are being used in. The length is a limitation in an AR15.

Here is a decent lineup of stuff that will kind of fit , it was in a post somewhere about 35 remington bullet testing for expansion, the 357 maximum or 357 AR in a rifle can come pretty close to 35 remington external ballistics
