    DougGuy is right on the money. 9.5 to 10 grains of Unique will do just what you are asking for. Not position sensitive, clean burning, and will obturate anything under BHN 15 in a .45 Colt. I use this load for my Rossi M92 shooting LBT .454/275 LFN GC boolits with great results. Authoritative, accurate, and no leading--what's not to like?

    I found this article years ago in regards to using the 270SAA boolit in the .45 Colt. I've tried the listed loads from mild to wild in my Redhawk with great satisfaction using a Mihec mold that drops at 280gr.
