New (to me) SIG P220 Equinox

I've been wanting one of these for a while and a screaming deal came along so I pulled the trigger. LNIB with 12 (yes 12) factory mags, A Streamlight TRL-1, SIG tritium night sights, and a factory installed short return trigger. Shot 100 rounds yesterday on the way home from picking it up and it is every bit as sweet as I dreamed it would be.

"Oh bother" said Pooh as the tripwire clicked.

    Good looking piece.

12 Sig mags...worth the price of another gun...

Night sights, very fitting. Good barrel length. I can see why you wanted, needed that pistol.

    Good for you.

A wonderful pistol. I have one and consider it to be "among the best". Enjoy it!

The P220 is probably my favorite pistol. If I had to pick one pistol (how sad) to keep for the rest of my days, it would be a P220.

I like the P220 so much I scrounged around until I found a nearly new P220 in 9mm with the American magazine release to go with my 45 ACP.

roysha, that is a cool gun. Is it single stack like the 45?

Yes. Everything is, for all practical purposes, interchangeable. The magazines are exactly the same externally but have a spacer in the back of the magazine and of course the feed lips are for 9mm. I have installed the 45 parts on the 9mm and vice versa. Also have put the 22 RF conversion on both.

At the time I got it, SIG didn't have any American magazines but CDNN had the European magazines on sale for a REAL good price. I purchased several and then, using the magazines that came with the pistol for a pattern, set up and milled the slot for the magazine catch. VOILA! American magazines for less than half the price that SIG subsequently wanted to charge me for the magazines when they became available.
