    repeating long gun recommendations?

You guys gave me excellent advice on getting an air pistol. The Beeman P17 and I have been through a tin of pellets, just starting on my second, and my handgun accuracy is really improving. I've still got a long way to go but I'm improving and more importantly I'm getting trigger time 4-6 times a week.

So I'd like to add a repeater to my airgun battery. I want to practice multiple shots on target and transitioning between targets. I am somewhat limited in the room I have to work in so whatever I get has to be precise enough that I can work with small targets at close range (garage).

I know that C02 power plants have some issues with quick shot strings but I don't know if they would still be accurate for my purposes. I'm fine with a pump or lever action between shots or a semi-auto. I would prefer to avoid a bolt action.

I'm open to airsoft or pellets, I have slight bias against metal BBs because I don't want to deal with metal ricochets. Right now I'm kind of leaning towards an airsoft pump action shotgun since I have a shotgun and that might have some decent carry over. All my long gun experience has been in precision shooting and I'd like to work on more speed work with this gun.

    Any advice?

Well the best bet would be a PCP, like some Benjamin or the Hatsans... Once upon a time, Gamo made a repeater springer-break barrel, which was also produced by Taurus (think it was 1970-1990s) but no more...

    Crossman 1077.

12 shot copy of the 10/22. Runs on 12g CO2 bulbs and gives about 50 shots per bulb. Mechanism is a revolver one so trigger pull is a bit heavy. Power is about 6ftlb (drops off with rapid fire as the CO2 cools) so it is no good for hunting. If they did a .22 version it would be enough for rats (but they don’t).

Really good fun and excellent practice if you use a 1022. Accuracy is about what you would expect- good enough for shooting mints/pennys at 10 yards. Buy lots of CO2 bulbs.

My son shoots a lot of the airsoft copies of the M4. Go on Evike. You'll have to spend about 200 bucks for a decent one. Groups of 10 meters are about an inch they're not horribly accurate but absolutely fun to shoot.

    Hmmm,

I've been looking into the Crossman 1077 and that might be the ticket. 60 bucks in the hole and then a dollar per 50 rounds (counting CO2 and pellets) is cheaper than a box of .22 and I'd get to use it more than my 10/22.

Eventually I'm sure I'll take the plunge into the PCPs but probably not till my daughter is old enough to be shooting in 4H.

Picked up a 10/77 for 20 bucks at a salvage store still with its box. I figured it would require some repairs but was pleasantly surprised when it proved to work flawlessly.
Its very accurate out to 25 yards, Webley coated wadcutters are its favorite.

Took the old 10/77 out and ran several cylinders full of beeman wadcutters through it today. It still shoots flawlessly.

I remember seeing these advertised in Boyslife magazine as the airgun most used by Boyscout camps for marksmanship training, so the product has been around for a coon's age.
The Boyscout version had a wooden stock.

Took the New Sig out and ran several Mags of Crossmans through it today. It still shoots flawlessly.

I remember seeing these advertised in all the Gun Magazine as the air gun used training for marksmanship training, and using a real weapon. It saves on AMMO and it works like the real thing LOL

Buy both cant, go wrong then
