    They vary. The old forged frame guns are less boxy feeling than the newer cast frame HiPowers. It isn't the grips, it is the actual frame. The old ones feel better to me but I hate the tiny safety on those versions. I'm pretty sure the MK IIs were made both ways (cast and forged).

    Early mk iii's are forged.
