    New Peabody Carbine

This is a prototype carbine built by Providence Tool Company in Plymouth, Wi.
I had talked to the owner about building a new carbine. It's in 50/70 with double set triggers. Nice solid carbine. We went for the retro look with the metal finish. It's a work on progress. Shoot it Monday!

The peabody's are really nice guns. It is a shame you don't see them much anymore.

That's an awfully light carbine for the 50-70!

    Good morning
Have an original Peabody Rifle in 45-70 made for the Rhode Island Militia. That was my first Peabody. Saw on their web last year the news about the 50-70 and have one of those on my list.
This is the first real photo of one I have seen and it is a year old.
