Look what followed me home yesterday!

Well yesterday I went to the gun store and wound up bringing this FNX-45 Tactical home with me. I have to admit, I usually gravitate towards revolvers and generally dislike polymer frame guns such as this one. The catch is I recently bought a SilencerCo Hybrid to use on my 45-70 Guide Gun and figured this would make a great host as it is suppressor-ready. This is a large full size gun loaded with features including changeable backstrap inserts, factory threaded barrel, tall night sights designed to clear most cans, built in rail, and a milled slide designed to accept a red dot sight such as the Trijicon RMR or Burris FastFire. It also came with three 15-round double-stack magazines and a cool soft sided case that can double as a range bag complete with customizable velcro inserts. Anyway tomorrow I'll load up some ammo so I can take it out next weekend, should be a blast!

Nice Very Nice! I like the "can" ready sights and the threaded barrel, R & L safety. Top it off it's a 45 ! It looks like it just wants to shoot

I looked at the double stack version of this gun the other day.
15 rds of 45 acp wasn't too bad in the hand.
it isn't a whole lot thicker than the double stack 1911 in 9mm the wife shoots.

I've wanted one of these for a while but haven't been able to justify the price tag. I picked up a M&P full size with threaded barrel with 10 factory mags. 5 high cap and 5 regular for a song.

I've put thousands of 230gr LRN with a moderate load of BE-86. It's accurate and goes bang. I ran well over 500 rounds through it one day of that loading and no issues.

Let it us know how it shoots as it may push me over the edge to get one.

Followed you home? I'll bet you cradled it in your arms the whole way. Nice piece! Looks interesting.

    Nice.

Don't go to California with it! The threaded barrel makes it an "Assault Pistol" in their new law and of course the hi capacity magazines would garner you a second charge. How's that for becoming a criminal in one easy drive?

It may have followed you home, but I bet you winked at it.

If you've fed it, it will hang around and expect to be fed regularly, just like a stray dog or cat. Take care, John.

I have the non threaded version in FDE it is by far the most accurate 45 I have ever owned. If you read up on them they are known for match grade accuracy.
Ill keep my guns money and freedom you keep the CHANGE!!!
