    Go to the top of the page, on your very first post. On the title bar on the far right side is a drop down menu for "thread tools" . As the creator of the thread, there should be an option to "close thread"

    I do not see it but I have heard people talk about a "lock" button at the bottom of page. Maybe only visible if it is your own thread.
