    Need letters to pa. Turnpike commission

    The Pa. Turnpike Commission has raised it ugly head again. They want to take the Clairton Sportmens Club ranges to put a highway on. Club has been in existence since the 30s, and on the present land since 1941. Membership varies between 1500 and 1800 yearly. We joined a lawsuit years ago on another section of the Mon Valley Expressway, and as a result, the commission agreed NOT to take our property. Now they don't want to honor that agreement. Please write the commission telling them not to take our Rifle ranges. Even if they just take a little, they'll shut the rest down by proximity! Thanks in advance! tomon

    Route 51 in Jefferson Borough/West Mifflin to 376 in Monroeville. The original intent was to connect the boonies to downtown Pittsburgh. They just cancelled the offshoot to Oakland, so it won't do that. Monroeville is farther away from town than West Mifflin!
