Interested in reboring. 30-30 to .32 Special

Would someone know of a gunsmith who could rebore a .30-30 Win barrel to .32 Special? I checked JES and the smallest land/groove size they show is .330/338. I've a Rem. 788 and would like to try a .32 barrel with the slow twist rate.

Instead of reboring, why not do a "switch-barrel" and keep your old .30-30 barrel?

Cost shouldn't be much different and then you can convert back if you want or add more calibers down the road.

30-30 and 32 special are so close together in bore diameter that it would be a matter of deepening the existing rifling rather than a rebore I would guess.

Call Wayne York at Oregon Gunsmithing. He does great work.

I will be keeping the existing .30-30 barrel and reboring/rechambering a takeoff barrel I'm hoping to obtain at a reasonable price. Skipper; thanks for the heads up on Oregon Gunsmithing.
