Raw material costs alone prevent this. Going back to preshortage prices is reasonable. Expecting the prices to go back to where they were decades ago isn't going to happen.

I was in Field And Stream in Medford, Oregon today.
I have never seen that much 22 Lr ammo in one place in all my 75 years.
They have CCI, Federal, Remington, Winchester, and Eley.
Prices ranged from $.057 to $.10 per round. The average seemed to be about $.07 a round.
This is the best sign of 22 ammo returning I have seen.
One salesman says " no limit". We have lots more in the warehouse....dale

Gander Mountain flint michigan. Was stocked full of .22. None of the really cheap stuff though by that a I mean $2.99 a box. Plenty of CCI, Federal Gold Match, Elley, and that fed auto match stuff for 19.99 per 350

My local gun shop has stacks of CCI SV for 3.19 a box cheapest I have found in Sacramento area.
only gun shop in Orangevale if you need some. They have a limit of 6 boxes but if you ask they will sell a brick.
