    Wow

Friend brought a Rossi copy of the 94 in .357. He wants shiny wood finish but the gun is wonderful as is. Stainless, fit so tight, WW should hang their head. I was set back 1000 steps over this thing. I now see why you love them. Sadly he did not bring loads and I can only make cast so copper must be cleaned out. I will do the wood for him but the gun is so perfect I want one.

Redo the finish. If you get the Rossi Stocks wet, (as in out side, rain, or hunting) the dye will get all over you. I have three Rossis, and I had to re do them all. They are fun guns.

I am still looking for a .44/40, they discontinued that cal. I have a blue .38/357, a stainless .45 Colt, and a stainless .44 Mag.

Man, I am just not following this right. I am familiar with two M94 lever actions, Win and Marlin and I don't think Rossi has made copies of either but I could be wrong. Rossi does make copies of M92 Win. Is that what we are talking about of if it is a M94 which design is it, Win or Rem. My BIL had a M94 Win in 44 Mag. never would have guess it until I saw it as I thought that M94 was for longer cartridges. I have a friend who has a M94 Marlin in 38-40.

I am guessing we are talking about a M92 Win here, right?

Let me know how you feel when a simple part breaks. Feel free to say if you were able to get a replacement part.

I'd guess that getting parts for a Rossi 92 is no more difficult than getting them for a Miroku/Winchester 1892 or a Chiappa 92. I've actually heard that Rossi customer service is better lately. But then, I haven't had any simple parts break on either of mine. Some of the simpler parts are available from Steve's gunz, things like firing pins, springs, ejectors, etc.

    Groo here
Getting parts seems not to be much of a problem as they are the go to gun for Cowboy Action and aftermarket parts abound.
I just ordered a SS 44mag carbine m-92 my self, not scared about factory support as most anything needed to be tuned or small parts replaced can be done at home.
PS 44man , the same action was chambered in 454 so your heaver 44mag loads should be ok, just watch the OAL.

Not sure how true it is, but I have read that the 454 rossi and the 45 colt actions were actually different heat treated steel, so the same action, but not the same either.

I have the 357 Trapper also, it handles much easier than my 45 colt but I love both of them. Yes, jump on it 44 Man you need one or maybe two.
I need a 44 mag also but my need is controlled by my skinny wallet.

Finally stumbled across a 92 in 357, I was impressed. I may put an oil finish on it after awhile but at this point I just want to shoot it. Yes, you need one, 44man. Please post pics when you get done.

Greetings and a Peaceful Memorial Day !
My son out in the "Valley AZ" bought a 357 stainless and has only good to write about it.
There are 3 Rossi's sitting in ILLinois all in 45 Colt that have served without fail or parts breakage. But do wash off that water wash stain that is there. On a warm day your cheek will take on a semi-permanent "sun tan" that does not match any part of the normal body color of European descent shooters.

Of the three or four that I handled I'm convinced my $ was well spent on the MARLIN 1894's I purchased instead.

I have a bad time saying bad about one or the other. To have a lever gun is so good.
