Have sketched up a 146gr solid, ~128gr cone or dome HB cavity (identical HB cavity to the 358431, a HB version of the 358429)
Added the cone design, I estimate it could have be driven a little faster with a wider margin of safety, and exhibit better bullet base fillout.

I cannot stress enough a hollow base version is for gallery/ target loads only, and serves to better shoot point of aim, using less powder and lead.

Either of the three configurations will give the shooter room to experiment for optimum accuracy with given firearm and powder selection .

Benefits of a hollow base: Allows skirt to open for better obturation at lower pressures & gallery loads. Less lead, less powder, better accuracy.

Benefits of a nose pour design:
Base forms more consistently, and is protected from opening/closing of the sprue plate (gaps, tear outs, improper fill out, voids, dings) The nose of a bullet can take far more abuse than the base can, and more consistent bullet bases means more consistent group size.

    to order:
please specify # of cavities, plain base or gas check, specific or all pins, with your disguised email.

Sequence of events: Participants order molds and are placed on the list, the Group Buy will close (which will be posted on the thread) at some time determined by MiHec, the molds are made from the orders on the list at the time it is closed or by altering what you want via PM to MiHec after it's closed. Extra molds should be available... order them by PM to MiHec. Invoices will be sent out via e-mail from the listed addresses and you pay by using Paypal...... It is my understanding the invoice will be in Euros which Paypal converts from Euros to dollars. After you pay, the mold gets shipped.

    Prices

2-cavity cramer HP, the price is $90 with one set of pins included plus $8 per extra pin set if wanted plus $15 shipping.

4-cavity cramer HP, the price is $120 with one set of pins included plus $16 per extra pin set if wanted plus $20 shipping.

Pins available: Dome, cone, and flat

This buy needs 20 orders to get off the ground!

    Thank you for your interest

I'm in for one. Glad to see it go active. Shot through more of my Remington factory HB wad cutters over the weekend and forgot how nice the shoot. Can't wait to make my own.

    4-cav all pins

If it ends up that I'm the only one asking for 2 cavity, I would be happy with 4 cavity.

Z, please change my order from "all pins" to "two sets of the cone pins." I may need to experiment some with the pins. Thanks!

Agreed, I'd like to see this go forward after the activity in the discussion thread. I think it may have had something to do with long response times from miha, if at all for any and all group buys.

Here's for hoping we can get this back up and running with him. The #50 is an amazing design (have an original 4cav) but a HB Cramer pin one would be a nice update to my collection.

I also wonder if the lack of interest has to do with the lack of commercial wadcutters in the marketplace? I haven't seen a wadcutters for sale in a long time (excluding vintage ammo sales).

As for Miha's responses I'm curious if he plans to do the same thing Al at NOE did and move his development forums to his own site. I noticed he does have a forum spot but nothing has been started yet. He also has a spot specifically designated for 45 2.1 to post?
