    If the velocities seem mentioned seem low, it is due to chronographing at 10 feet. Today the standard for shotshell velocity is 3 ft. Even todays 3 ft. instrumental velocity is down approximately 100 fps from the actual muzzle velocity with small shot.

    Crusher lengths were always measured on a calibrated height gauge not with calipers.
