    Smile My first bullets

Hello all, I have been lurking on this part of the forum for a while and decided to try swaging. I am a poor boy so I started looking at what I had around the place for some FL sizing dies that might work, watched a little U-tube and deducted what I had that would give me the sizes that I wanted. So here are the first bullets I made. For 10mm/.40 s&w

ID:	167716 They were made in two steps with two dies, first a 30-30 FL die and then a 270 FL die to make the shoulders the right angle. They are .401 and they turned out at 180 gr. It did not take any where near as long as I thought it would and I think they turned out pretty good. They shot as well as my factory made 180 gr jacketed bullets, and it was fun just to see if I could do it with just what old dies I had around the reloading room.

Thank you all, they were fun to make and now I know that I have another source for Jacketed bullets and found something to do with old shot out 9mm brass, although I shoot mostly powder-coated cast.

I usually have to cook mine for a couple hours in a citric acid bath to clean off the annealing marks from the torch then tumble them to get them that clean. Great job.
