    Dust cover

Do any of you know if there is a cover made specifically for the star? I size in an unfinished basement and have been having a lot of issues with grit falling onto my bench lately (even with plastic stapled across the rafters). The Star is the only press that I don't have a cover on. My sizer has the factory air lube feed, swivel handle, and heater plate. Please let me know if something is out there. I couldn't find one on their site. I'll go ghetto if I have too, but would rather have a proper cover. Thanks.

I use a large plastic garbage bag. The bag is a lot bigger than required and completely covers the Star.
Works for me and after a time a new bag is used to replace the old bag.

I use thrift store pillow cases, found a king size one that covers my hornady lnl progresive with the shell feeder, almost need a ladder to put it on and take it off.

I use the legs from worn out jeans. Cut to the right length and sew across the top. If you have old bell bottoms even better. I've made them for Stars with the lever/handles up, Forster Co-Ax, Lyman Orange Crusher and Redding powder measures

    Robpete,

I too like things to look nice and proper. I came up with the idea to make my own that turned out to be similar to the etsy site you were directed to. One day was in a fabric store with my wife and noticed they had some very light colored canvas material at a very deep discounted price. I spent less than $20 and had enough to make covers for my Star, 3 rcbs presses, Dillon 550 and Mec Sizemaster with about a third of it left. I took the measurements and drew out the patterns. The Star is the easiest and is just a long rectangle open on one end. I cut out the pieces and my wife showed my how to sew on her machine. Nothing to it really. She whipped it out in less than 10 minutes. I was hooked. I spent the rest of the Saturday afternoon and about a half day on Sunday sewing the others. They are all custom made to fit nice and tight. The fabric is heavy enough they keep their square shape and look really nice. I'm pretty proud of them. You just get better as you go.

    Good luck....Floyd

While I like 'nice and pretty' the wally world pillow cases come in colors and are fine as a cover. They come in colors which is why my garage looks like a Texas A&M gathering. Wife is an Aggie and she's the one that picked them up.

I stay away from plastic bags as I want some air flow around the machines
