Another sweety even if it does have a 28 inch barrel. It's so well balanced you don't notice all that barrel. Both have exceptional stocks and precious little wear for a rifle from before 1912 and the other, the Brenneke, proofed in July of 1928. Preliminary load work up looks good!
We need to pics of those, no teasing.

I don't have any way to post them on this board or I would.

Post them on Photobucket, that's what we all do.

The factory mag i had to replace. The spring was weak. The follower wouldn't activate the slide stop. New mags took care of that. The former owner also had a shock buffer in it. I removed it.
Glad to hear that about the mag. My newest gun is an RIA 9mm and I'm having the same issue. It was a Christmas gift, and it's the GI model with the tiny little "hump and bump" sights, which is exactly what I wanted. I'm gonna swap the grips for something a little more "GI" style, get some more mags and be done with it.

One thing I HATE about 1911's... the only thing:
They're like a muscle car, they just BEG to be customized. Then you end up with a $500 gun with $2,000 worth of work put into it!

I bought a CZ 527 Varmint in 17 Hornet last week. The scope is mounted. The ammo is loaded and I'm going to the range tomorrow. Should be fun.

I'm going to list all of mine so it will be easier when they drive down the street to pick them up. NOT

Kimber Caprivi in 375 H&H. Super smooth right out of the box and a beautiful rifle by all accounts.

Doesn't matter if you list them all or not. "They" likely know about them already. In any case they will know you are a gun owner so will take that into account.
They will assume any gun owner is a criminal at that point and take steps to find whatever you have they may not know about.
In any case try whatever you think might work to avoid the issue.

Last night the long awaited CZ 550 FS in 9.3x62 joined the other in 6.5x55 to complete my "pairing" of the metrics. With some hope next week will see the arrival of the M70 featherlight in 7x57. Have been on a metric kick lately! The 6 rem (6x57) is a Ruger M77, and the 8x57 is the Rem 700 Classic. Don't ask me- I don't know what bug has bitten, but it bites hard!

Sarsqueta of Spain I believe. I will do that when I get a chance. It is a Zeypher. It was probably last fired in the 1970s. I love double triggers.
