That pretty much makes my set of classic 16ga pumpguns. M12,M31,M37,and an 870. All in 16ga and all choked mod. Had no intention of buying a gun that day, but I have been watching for one for several years. Very first shot was at a 45 yard crossing clay paired with a blooper, result "dead pair". Yep, happy camper
Don't you need a Hi standard Flite King?

If I come across one, I have one in 410. They are under appreciated for sure!

Picked up a very nice A. Strover in Nordhausen 98 Mauser sporting rifle from 1919-1920 in 8 X 57. Only thing altered from original is a Lyman aperture installed and a taller front sight. Rifle came with the original front sight. Still developing a cast load with a 196 gr. Accurate mold over H-4895.

Well they have had a lot of sales and specials this year. So I wound up buying all the parts to put together a AR15 upper for the 6.5 Grendel cartridge. It will use a heavy 24 inch fluted barrel. If they didn't happen to have a 24 inch barrel on sale, I would have likely skipped it this year. But it was the first time I noticed that the barrels were not out of stock plus on sale with a large discount. Worse was they had the side charging upper receiver and BCG on sale too. It was half price. It will make it a lot easier to use my big 6x24x44 scope on it too. Of course maybe there is a reason the 6.5 Grendel stuff was on sale at a steep discount this year though. But Cabelas was actually selling three or four different factory loadings of cartridges for it though.

I'm slowly being lulled by the Grendel build myself. I asked the kids for a lower for Christmas.....

Howa 1500 in 6.5 CM. Heavy, threaded barrel, nikko stirling scope with rings, bipod, 10 rd magazine. All together just $700 delivered. I couldn't resist the temptation.

Little more than a week ago I bought a CZ 612 pump sshotgun. 12ga 3 1/2" chamber camoed with 28" bbl. Came with 5 choke tubes, choke tube wrench and a shim set for castoff I guess. $449.99 Good for 2 Canadians so far. The 3.5" loads get your attention.

Said I wasn't Gona but anymore, but the other day I visited a local pawnshop, and they had just put out a Marlin 336RC 30-30 from 1957. The price was $350, so it left with me! I'm a sucker for Marlin leverguns!

I got my 2 Grandsons Stevens 20 ga youth models for Christmas. Parked finish and synthetic stocks but for $132 each plus tax I can live with the plastic. (besides they like that "Combat shotgun" look. I think they'll be real nice starter guns for them.

Just bought a Freedom Arms 22 single action revolver for a good price. The dealer said that the display model was having issues so he checked his stock and found one with a spare cylinder for 22 Mag. Haven't ever owned a 22 Mag before, but a couple of years ago got a couple of boxes of ammo with some other stuff and gave it to my friend because 'I ain't ever going to have one'. Guess I should have hung on to it.
Looking forward to shooting it, the first new pistol I've bought in 35 years.

That sounds familiar, if the manufactures had to rely on us they'd be in trouble! Never shot a Freedom Arms but suspect I would like it, nice find!

A PSA .308 18" barrel AR-10. Bought it 2 months ago and havent even removed it from the box. Less chance of dust buildup in the box than the 5 sitting untouched and unshot in the safe.
I do have the scope for it though.

If I remember right the NRA tested the FA 252 and found it to be the second most accurate revolver they had ever tested. It was first until a FA 353 took the title.
If I was king I would own a .41 magnum example of those.
