A win .32spl ,1957 450.00 and a 336 marlin 30-30 1968
A Mauser stamped "A. Strover in Nordhausen" in 8 X 57I. At first I thought it was pre-war and it's unquestionably that style however, because of the lack of proofs I think it might have been made near immediate post-war before the proof houses were back up and running. Someone had a Lyman aperture installed but I don't know if it's a 57 or 48. Other than that it's all original, double sets, octagon to round, full matted rib, two blade express sight and butter knife bolt handle. Just waiting on dies and brass.

Had to have another 44 mag this makes 4) now
Got a Desert Eagle with scope, Ruger Super Redhawk, S&W 629-6, S&W 629-3. Saw this 629-3 with unfluted cylinder and it was love at first sight. The wife a gun lover also understood after she saw it. I am lucky.
At one time I had 9 different 44's. I sold the Colt Adaconda because it made a loud pinging sound when I cocked it, scared off several deer even at 70 yards.

I actually enjoy the Eagle when I absolutely need to knock out the bullseye. Magnum loads in that (jacketed only) simply don't seem hot because of the gas recoil system I would assume. The redhawk laughs at the magnum loads I have for the Desert Eagle. The Smiths enjoy a diet of light to medium heavy loads and seem to be extremely accurate. While a 1911 fan and I have only a half dozen of them I really enjoy the wheel guns when I simply don't want to pick up brass off the ground. I was a hard decision to purchase my first 44 mag because everyone told me the recoil wasn't managable. I'm not a big guy but I found the 44 very pleasant to shoot.
Now I need another 45LC S&W 25-5
Re-reading your post. By 8x57I- did you mean it is chamberd for 8x57J? Instead of 8x57S? If so I apologize!

Picked up a LCP II from cabelas on sale last week, was actually surprised it came out cheaper than ordering via budsgunshop for once and I don't have to pay the FFL fee on pickup.

Couldn't pass up a "new in box" Ruger P89 for a great price, from an older friend that didn't think it prudent to have a gun around he didn't use/know.
So we made a deal I couldn't refuse, and he was happy for the cash, and since I've wanted a P85 since they came out and never came across one since, it's a good fit.
Yesterday it finally was used, and worked beautifully, it's not as accurate as the Glock I brought with me, in order to evaluate it against for full size feel etc, but it worked well.
I did exchange the factory grips for a Hogue grip, so much nicer in the hand.
Ruger All American .243 Winchester . I think !
Grumpy Old Man With A Gun....... Do Not Touch !!
A brand new Marlin 336 in .35Remington.
Elfin, that P89 will jot jam. Ever.
Put a P95 trigger in it and it's better. I have a P97 and am looking for a P95. I hope I have the wherewithal when I find it. Rugers are tanks, accurate tanks.

Picked up a Ruger LCP II to carry in my front pocket .
A Marlin #18 pump 22 short. It was Marlin's first pump 22. It only weighs 3lb 10oz. The bore is pretty rough but shoots pretty good at 25 yards. I may have it relined.
I bought a Marlin .22 bolt action rifle, so I could have some cheap fun making noise at the gun range. I didn't want to shoot fast, just slow and easy to enjoy it all.
Ruger 10/22 SS take down, Kryptek stock. Added aftermarket fiber optic sights and Magpul Backpacker stock. Made it my survival rifle. Really like it, but due to Harvey, hadn't been able to get out to the range to shoot it more than twice. It's great fun with off hand silouette plinking!
