I had a nice enough 1896 vintage Winchester 1895 follow me home a little while back. Cast some boolits for it last weekend, Hornady cases should be here Friday.

A few months ago I purchased a box stock AR-15 in 223/5.56, Bought the lower first then the upper. Only thing I have done is smooth out the trigger parts, they were kinda gritty, and replace the trigger and hammer springs for a little lighter pull.

1866 Springfield Armory 50/70 needed tons of work as the factory let it get rusted, worn and covered in dried shellac.

    Off topic but I have assembled 3 AR's. 2 in 5.56, 1 in 6.8
One has Surplus Arms & ammo lower with BCM upper. Lower and upper finish matches perfectly.
One has Bushmaster lower with Palmetto upper. Lower and upper finish matches perfectly.
One has Spikes lower and upper. Lower and upper finish does not match. The finish on the lower is noticeably lighter than the upper. Go figure.

About 3 weeks ago this Model 46 Husqvarna in 9.3 X 57....for $300 including shipping and transfer fee...

And the load I worked up for it with 285 gr. PPV bullets and 45 grs. of IMR-4064. There is 9 rounds in that group. Bullet mold is on the way as is sizing die. Gas checks are here.
