Mine was a Winchester model 1886 take down. I sent it of to Turnbull to get rid of the tang safety and the rebounding hammer. Looks a lot better too!

I completed an AR carbine I've been buying parts for( for months). I used a Sabre Defense/CavArms one piece lower, Anderson sport upper with Anderson 1-8" 16" barrel, Magpul forend, and Vortex 1x scope. 7# unloaded- I like it .

I scored a S&W 15-3 Combat Masterpiece at the Fun Show today. I'm glad it rained or I wouldn't have even been there. .38 Special reloading time!

I've been under the weather for a while and spending too much time at doctors offices and at hospital for testing. Today I was getting "cabin fever" so I forced myself to head up to the range with the large action Martini I bought a little while ago. Didn't bother to shoot it on paper yet, I just was fire forming some brass using up some boolits I had on hand. Beat the heck out of our 200 yard steel gong though, which felt good ...

It's a large action Martini MK III ME that is 1894 dated, originally in .303 British, but at some point it was re-barreled with a medium heavy round barrel in .38-55 WCF, re-stocked, lever reworked, and then mounted with an old vintage Lyman All American 6 power with a heavy vertical post and a single horizontal cross hair plus a set of iron sights. I love single shots, especially like Martini actions, and have always loved the .38-55 WCF cartridge so I couldn't pass it up.

For the time being I had to take it off and put on a spare 3x9 Leupold. There is so much dust and dirt inside the old Lyman 6 power that you can barely see through the scope!

Yesterday at the LGS I fell for a 3screw flat top 6-1/2" Single Six. I am a sucker for Ruger single actions.

Finally found a used Rossi R92 in 357 Magnum, very hard to find these days...
    357 is very popular apparently...

Runs very nicely, action is slick.

They are a brilliant little rifle. The rifle I am shooting in my avitar is a 357 Rossi. It has fired squillions of rounds of 38Special and it has never let me down. I let it down one day by neglecting to check the tightness of the screws. A little screw on the right hand side of the action had worked loose and the internals all came loose, whoops!

I check it occasionally nowadays and it hasn't budged since, some years and lots of rounds later. It was probably not tight enough from the factory ans slowly worked loose.

Absolutely brilliant, bulletproof gun, you'll enjoy yours.

Thanks for the information. I have a Rossi 454 Casull/45 Colt and a 44mag Rossi as well. They are nice once they've received some TLC. Time to load some 357 now!

Finally took delivery of this little monster. Fun as heck to shoot and has the peculiar ring of fire that comes out almost every time.
