I like retro... S&W Model 19, pinned and recessed, 4 inch, blued with rosewood target stocks. Can't wait to send some Keith cast boolits thru the pipe.

A Smith and Wesson 500 Magnum with the 8 3/8" barrel.

It would bring down a Mastodon, and I'd grin ear-to-ear from doing so

I once had a Colt Lightning in .44/40 . It was perfect.
I remember I killed a doe with it off hand and 80 yds with a RCBS 200 gr cast bullet and a maximum change of Unique.

Wish I had been able to keep that rifle, but back then I bought, sold and swapped about everything.
That way I could experience as many guns as possible.

I loved the Lightning because I grew up shooting a Winchester Modle 62 .22LR
It all felt natural to me.

I still own the old 62,and it was my favorite squirrel rifle.
Now I am old and optically challenged ,so I use a Win Model 52 with a scope.

The last gun I bought was this Cimarron Firearms Uberi 1873 Sporting Rifle in .44-40WCF. The info I've read on this site has been extremely helpful in loading for it.
