Mine date to the 1980s (.30-06) and mid-'90s (.223) respectively. Nice wood stocks, walnut. I did have a Mannlicher-style 7x57mm short rifle with set triggers and butter knife bolt handle, but I traded it for four Colt Police Positive Special revolvers. In retrospect, I should have kept the rifle. One of the revolvers was (is) o.k. I reblued the other three and sold one. Still have the other two. They required some serious tinkering and one is finished and the fourth is waiting for me to feel inspired again.

Just picked up an estate purchase - 1940's Win 94 (30 WCF). I love the 80 year old patina and it's got a nice shiny bore with solid rifling. First patches coming out blue though...gotta get rid of the copper fouling.

That's a pretty rifle, and a good find. But don't say "patina"-- that's a code word for rusty!

    Hi-Point C-9.

Later I found out those bullets were not engaging the rifling reliably. The gun may need to shoot cast.

A so called "Cigarette Rifle) post ww2 mauser built for a GI stationed there in 1949. Caliber is 30-06 and has a 6x scope on a detachable rail mount. Fellow member Porthos performed his woodworking magic to make this a real looker.

This one has been on my bucket list for some time. I found a 95% condition Savage/Springfield Model 120 this morning at Scheels in Mankato. Better yet, the price was the same as the over abused barn rifles that I had been seeing. These little single shot .22's are a fun item to collect. Since that pretty much completes my wish list I may have to find something else to look for.
I just got home and don't have pictures yet.

I've had a hankering for a Hopkins & Allen .36 calibre underhammer for years. Finally found and won one on an online auction last weekend! It will go along well with the Heritage model I have in .45 calibre ...
I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!

Got a bid in on a G34 MOS. Will go nicely with my AR 9mm carbine. Thinking a reflex sight might be a good match for my 60+ eyes.
I love not paying sales tax on firearms purchases. Free shipping and no fees too. Gunbroker can be pretty good if you're careful.

Picked up a Smith and Wesson SD9VE this morning for $250 flat. Looked new, but taking it apart, it had never been cleaned. Carbon built up everywhere on the breech face and the chamber. Doubt it functioned before cleaning hence the price. Functions just fine now with a good cleaning. Going to let the Mother In Law have it with all the trouble here in the STL area.

Nothing real fancy, but a 16 gauge Ithaca 37 was an impulse buy that followed me home. Been on a 16 gauge kick for a few years now and have actually been working to become a better shotgunner. Next trip to the trap range may see this one go instead of the little Stevens 5100 I've been working with.

I bought two new Taurus G3's a couple days ago. Gave one to my youngest son for a graduation gift.

CZ 2075 RAMI with the slide milled for an RMR. The action was slicked up by Cajun Gunworks.

    Fantastic little package.

I bought a Argentine mauser. I'll get a pic then. It's drilled and taped for a scope. So i got it cheap. 200.00 OTD. It came with Lyman dies and 58 rounds of ammo. I did shoot it the other day. I zerod in a scope. And ran 18 rounds though. My shoulder had it after that.

Between Jan. and June, I have purchased two old guns, the first was an ole nickel plated Iver Johnson .38S&W five shot top break pocket revolver for about $140 including CA transfer fees and taxes.
It has around 50 percent of finish remaining from years of carry use.

The other is a J. Stevens Model 17 type 1915 Favorite .22 rifle in need of Tender Loving restoration for $150 not including CA taxes And Transfer Fees. that I am still awaiting delivery to my local FFL Gun Shop.
Photos posted showed a firearm with broken butt stock surface rust, and reportedly dirty barrel. sold along with a extra butt stock and a Octagon Barrel Blank in need of fitting.

I still have hopes that it will eventually be delivered, even though it has been in UPS's hands since may 28th and they reported the first attempt to deliver on June 3rd then delays due to 'Emergency Conditions' or 'Bad Weather' in Southern California.

At the risk of starting WW3 I picked up a mint Shiloh Sharps saddle rifle with 30 inch heavy oct barrel in 50-90. Came with MVA sights. Haven't fired it yet but soon.

Picked up a Ruger Security 9 used/new in the box this afternoon. Mother In Law wanted a safety, so the previously mentioned SD9VE is now my new truck gun. Want to get a magnet holster for center console mounting.

Picked up an RIA 1911 Tactical Bi-Tone at Bud's in Lexington a few weeks ago, blued slide and matte nickel lower. Excellent trigger pull, four # and crisp. Rubber grip panels, grooved front strap, ambidextrous extended safety, and checked mainspring housing. Slide assembly and mag are in the box and were replaced with a fitted Kimber 1911 conversion kit. With tax was about $550. Had considered a cheaper gun and then add what I wanted but got this one with everything I would have had to add, and the upgrades offset the difference. Weighs in right at two pounds empty and in the plastic holster than came with my Springfield Range Officer is, for me, about perfect as a walking around the woods gun.

Nice find, you won the lottery with that one.
