    Gold PC color?

A friend of mine is a Purdue guy (there's no accounting for taste). However, their colors are Black and Gold and he'd like to PC some bullets in both colors.

I have some Black coming from Smoke, but we cannot find a good source for Gold colored PC that has been demonstrated to work well in that application.

Anyone know a good source of Gold colored PC powder? We've searched and searched to no good avail, used Google, looked here on CB, but no joy.

    TIA.

I have some gold colored hi-tek powder I can test out. Will coat a batch today or tomorrow and post up a pic for comparison.

Can it be also used for Powder Coat or just Hi-Tek? We've never done Hi-Tek, and I've got a fancy Caswell powdercoating gun just waiting for a go at this....

I've done ESPC with gold 1035, after cooking it gets darker. Could be mine is old, had it for a year or so.
    Whatever!

It's hard to tell on a computer screen, but this looks pretty close:

    https://www.powderbuythepound.com/Go...Super-Durable/

It doesn't work well with the dry tumble method. It will coat evenly, but very thin. The thin coat is enough to color it, so I dry tumble Super Durable Clear over the top of it, and it comes out fairly nice.

I can get the exact powder vendors but I think Prismatic Powders sells all of the VEINS and I forgot who sold it, but the mayan gold black (which I call mayan black gold) was sold on ebay.

All of my stuff is dry tumble. Hold a sec, lemme look up the vendor.
    https://www.powderbuythepound.com/Mayan-Gold-Black/

I have it listed on my list of powders that work as a 9/10 noting that it covers very well.

powder by the pound also has a color called sun gold.
it's a bit brighter than the Spanish gold. [more like the N.O. saints gold color]
but not as silky smooth looking as the mayan gold/black.

Nice looking boolit design. May I ask what mould it is, and how does it shoot?

As for the color, I tried the silver and yellow mentioned above and did not have good luck with it. Granted there are a million different silvers and yellows so a different one might be better.

Stilly, I really like the look of that Gold Vein boolit and the high gloss seems like it would make judging complete coverage very easy. If it can be applied in one single dry tumble coat I may have to try it.
