Has anyone seen the Lyman 50th edition yet? I see no information on the official Lyman website.

They don't come out with new ones but about every 10 years or so. The manual I started out with was Lyman 45 and that was in 1971. I bought Lyman 49 about 5 years ago.
I doubt you will see #50 for a while yet.

I got excited and looked around the web some.
I can't find anything about it online but this, and it may be a fake or a spoof.
The link below is in another language, which makes it difficult to tell.

Where did you hear that the 50th was coming out?

Here in the latest handloader
Surprisingly the 49th came out 8 years ago, time flies.

Interesting. Lee is coming out with their revised edition this summer. I am on the list to buy one when they get them finished. Personally speaking though, I would not buy any early copies of the Lyman 50th when it came out. I bought an early copy of their ARF manual and my GAWD the fonts/grammar were HIDEOUS. They clearly have an opening for an editor or at least a proof reader. I can not imagine why they let it out but ugg.
Great, I just replaced my 49th edition not more than a week ago because it was in pieces and now theres a new one coming. When I wanted to look up a different cartridge/load, I'd have to walk around the basement looking for the pages I wanted. They would just fall out when I moved my book and I haven't seen the cover in years. I sure got my $$s worth out of it.

If I could buy one, it would probably be in Japanese with no way to translate it. I still have 45-46-47-and 49 so I'm covered for a while.
Information not shared. is wasted.
Lyman #3 & 4 are far better for us casters. If you load FMJ's then 49 is OK, as most of the data is jacketed. Just like all the FMJ makers' books out there. Waste of $$ for me.
I never use my 49 at all anymore! I load 100% of my own castings and #3/4 have all the data I ever need. And the Lee hardbound has some cast data not found in #3/4.
Unless there is a wholesale change in existing powders or jacketed and cast bullets, I think my Lyman 49th and Lyman Cast Bullet 4th Edition have me well covered for a long time to come. I have 7 other reloading handbooks that are used, but no where near as much as my Lyman's.
Anyone have a Lyman #3/4 for sale? Bangerjim is a good endorsement.
Used to be I would buy every (and I mean EVERY) new manual that hit the market place back when I was bringing a nice paycheck home. I have the Swift, Norma, and all the other powder and bullet makers semi-annual and often annual new manuals and have never used loads from some of them due to the fact I couldn`t find their powders or bullets. I bought the #49 Lyman and the newest Lyman cast manuals. Don`t use them hardly as I still rely on the other way earlier manuals for loads data. If this `New and Improved` #50 has new info pertaining to the rounds I cast and load for then I might buy it, if not then I`ll just skim thru it in a shop. At what the cost of this manual may be, I could probably buy more heart medicine instead!Robert
I am still using my Lyman Reloading Manual 46th edition. And my Lyman Cast Bullet Manual 3rd edition. When should I replace them or buy a new one for additional information we all need? Although all of the cartridges I reload are all old ones. Haven't bought a new gun in 20 years.
It would be nice if they all would give us a choice of hardcover or electronic like Hornady and a few others do. I'm a book guy but my ipad or laptop takes up a whole lot less space.
Lyman website has it for sale now
