    Herters 45230 mold

    I picked up a Herters 45230 mold a while back, it seems to fit the handles I have. I assume the handles are Lyman they don't look any different than the others I have, then again I'm new to this casting stuff.

    I gave the mold a quick shot of dry moly lubricate spray, I'll post up some pics after running some lead thru it.

    any idea on when this mold was made??

    I'll post some pics later.

    Herters had some real good items that they listed,I don't think that they manufactured any of the products but had their name put on them.Had a complete set up for rifle and shotgun but when Hurricane Rita blew though it demolitioned my loading/radio shack and some one figured it was theirs for the taking.I hate thieves.
    Are my kids/grandkids more important than "o"'s kids, to me they are,darn tooting they are!!! They deserve the same armed protection afforded "o"'s kids.

    The mold is probably form the 1960's era. Maybe into the early 70's.
