    9mm moly coated load needed

Ok first in I put this question first in "coatings and alternatives", and the silence was deafening. I bought some commercially cast 135 grn, moly coated bullets. Can someone recommend a good load? This weight does not show in my load books, and the seller said a slower powder would reduce the chance of smoking. Thanks in advance.

well I doubt the smoking thing.
it would be easier to give you a load based on what powder you have than to give you mine for powders you don't have or can't get where your at.

Yeah, what powders do you already have?

I would use tightgroup. Start around 3.2 worked well for myself

I'm close to 3 grs of red-dot with my current 130 gr load.
I was using 3.8 grs of 231, and have used tite-group in the past, that 3.2 load above sounds close to what I was using.

I'm watching this thread since I have another marathon 9mm loading session coming up soon. [after a size/lube session or two]
I should be doing about 9-10k rounds here shortly and I'm looking at switching powders again to save my red-dot for other stuff.

My issue was less about the bullet grain (which I can finesse) that about the moly coating, with which I am unfamiliar. The suggestions about Power Pistol and Tite Group sound good, and I will try them. The guy who sold these to me is a hard-core, competitive 9mm shooter, and for me, 9mm is just another caliber The seller told me moly would smoke if pushed by too fast a powder; Power Pistol is going to be my first try. Thanks to all for your input.
