Best Show Stopper Load for 357? Loud/Flash Bang is what I'm after

What powder is best for making people stop and come down to your lane and ask you just exactly WT$? are you shooting?

I'll be running these in Security Six/ sp101/ RBH I expect the DAO SP101 to put on the best "show"

    Thanks in advance

The powders listed above and a 125 grain boolit. Very loud and very bright.

I would think a case full of 3F black powder and a fiber wad would do it!

I know 2400 is a sinus buster and probably will cauterize too using 26.0gr in a 44mag. Like said above H110 and 296 is reputed to do what you want even better than 2400.
Try like most people have always said, a slower burning powder and full load (close to it).
Look in your reloading data at the list of powder burn rates, these are listed for use with some 357mag loads and their status in one handbook fastest to slowest.
    #43-Blue Dot.
    #44-2400.
    #49-H110.
    #50-296.
    #53-IMR4227.

Give us some idea what projectile you intend to use and if you have these powders available.
There are some compressed loads listed for 150gr to 160gr boolits using IMR4227.

H110 or W296, 110gr bullet. Start at 22/23 gr. work up toward 26 watching for signs or excessive pressure. You'll get the attention you want, especially if your shooting at dusk, lots of flame.

As to "Why?" I am used to getting stopped when using the CZ-52 and milsurp ammo, I call it the "Noisy Cricket", but want to enjoy as buck and snort as I can until I can't. I regret discovering that my "Magnum" pistols, are best when shooting "Magnum" loads until this past year, so I don't to waste any more time running mouse farts when I can be taming the Dragon.

Near max loads of H110 makes my Blackhawk belch fire that can be seen in broad daylight. It really makes a chrono do wacky things if you are not set up far enough away from it too.

One you might try is 777 lots of fire and smoke. Don't have load data right here for 357. It is Available.

Used to do cowboy reenactments and loved it for effect. Better than black powder.

From Speer #11 using their 125gr jacketed hollow point or soft point bullets in a 6" Security Six with CCI550 primers:
    H110 - 19.6gr (1432fps) to 21.6gr (1589fps).
    2400 - 17.5gr (1399fps) to 19.5gr (1555fps).

Accurate #9 is at #45 on the same list of the above.

110 gr XPT under H-110 will light up the lanes. Hodgdon shows staring charge of 22.0 gr and a max of 23.0 gr. When I was shooting my Ruger BH in 30M1 some guys asked me what I was shooting; I was shooting about 15 gr in a 7-1/2" bbl. 180 gr in 44 magnums are really loud as well. (~30+ grs of H-110)

look more at 4227 or 1680.
4227 is impressive in full sunlight in the 445 with 300gr bullets.
people stop at the outdoor range once you touch one of those off.
the 375 super-mag outclasses it for sheer noise and hair blowing rearward concussion with 1680.
I wear both plugs and muffs with either one of them.

You are going to have to make your own as I have only ever seen it sold in shotguns.
