    Anyone patching the 375 h&h

I use paper patch bullets in the 45-70 and 30-40 krag. I have an old model 70 in 375 h&h that I wanted to shoot cast in but wasn't really interested in having to use greatly reduced loads. So I'm thinking about paper patching. I have a bpcr rcbs mould 378-312 which makes a nice spitzer nongas-checked bullet. I also have a .367 sizing die for my star sizer. So I sized one of these bullets down to .367, not to difficult, and it is still over bore diameter in the model 70. I think this has possibilities! Looking through some of Matthews books I found a load of 47 grains 3031 plus filler. So I'm starting down this road. My goal is to develop a moderate hunting load, maybe get this big 312 grain bullet running around 2000 to 2200 fps. Anyone have other ideas or experience with the the big 375 I would like to hear fom you.
