I have tried several of the faster powder and have found that BE is just better for me.

Just loaded some a1 under a 158 to see if it will work, but too cold and snowy here on the bc coast to want to go to the range to test it out. I know -4c is not that cold and 10” of snow is not much but I’m patient and it will worm up in the next few days and melt away
Thanks for dragging this thread out of the archives, I get see new, as well as old info that's still relevant.

Titegroup and W231. Titegroup seems to burn cleaner and can be used in any position.

Any one have a load for a 158gr swc in 9mm I’m working one up with my lee plain base lswc with vectan a1 and have one my dad developed back in the late 90s with a gc lswc I’d like to hear what others use

Unique, five grains of it under the Lee 358-125-RF.

Sure works nice in my little Kahr, and shoots to point of aim with the fixed-elevation rear sight.

    Happy trails,

When I use heavy for caliber boolits in the 9mm, I use AA7 from Accurate Arms. It seems to have a larger range of safe loads that still function the weapon than some of the other powders.

As posted here, a lot of powders will work. However for accuracy I was using WSF with pretty good results but switching to Power Pistol beats WSF handily. Using a good 9mm we are at or under 2.5" groups @ 50 yards with Power Pistol loads in accuracy testing with cast bullets. There may be a lot of people loading 9mm but most don't get that kind of accuracy. YMMV

MP 135-358 8 cavity powder coated sized to 358 over 3.8 grn bullseye is the best load I have ever shot in a 9mm. One ragged hole at 10-15 yards with handguns and 2” at 100 with my 9mm rifles( if they are that accurate)

Unique, use it for 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP.
