    Question Star lube sizer part

I have a old lube sizer that I'm cleaning up.
The rubber pistol seal on the bottom of the pistol is a mess.
Is there someplace that sells a replacement?????

Do you meant the o-ring that goes in the hole the sizer die goes into? Or the lube pump piston seal? Either part can be had from Magma Engineering. The o-ring can be bought at a local hardware store. Forget the size though.

It's the seal the goes on the bottom of the piston spring.
The one that pushes down the lube in the lube tube.

That's called the Hycar washer, part number S107 on the Magma drawing, call Magma, they'll fix you up, I'm sure.

    Ordered it today.
    Nice people there.
For got to ask what it cost, but need it anyway, so it really doesn't matter.

    Got the part today.
Shipping cost more than the part.
The old cup was made out of rubber. The new one is plastic.
Looks like it will work just as well.

The better solution would be to machine a new piston with grooves for two O-rings. My Mark VI Ballisticast sizer had this and I never went thru an O-ring. I've gone thru several Hycar washers however in both my Star and Magma sizers.

+1, I also did that, and now it is much better!

New owner can do it if they want.
