ID:	159216So I have a chance to pick up and older but slightly used Master Caster. Guy that has it says it did not come with the squirrel cage fan. Not sure of the age. It does come with three molds. Two for a 357 and one for a 44. Some surface rust but none in the molds. With this little bit of info does anybody have any idea of the value of such a critter? Do these have a guarantee like a RCBS would? Any thoughts?

    Magma Master Caster ??

Last time I priced mine it was over $500, used. I have 6 or 8 molds for mine. Not sure about guarantee. Mine still runs like a champ.

New they are over $1000 without molds.

New the master caster is 1040.00. The molds are $92.50 each. I don't know about warranties with Magma, but they are reasonable with repairs. Very nice people. My lowest offer would be around $650 up to around $900 depending on condition.

But then the thing being old enough to not have been shipped with a mold cooling fan, It probably was in the $500 range for what he paid for it. You could offer him $300 and see what he says. From what I see in the picture, it looks pretty good.

When i bought mine it didn't come with a fan either and the temperature control was in the front too, i think the new ones are on the side. I think i paid $400 about 10 years ago, it came with 3 molds too.

I fabricated a fan for it with two computer style fans and sheet metal.
