Instead of the wire, I suggest trying a silicon mat.

........"do what works and stop trying to reinvent the wheel". Experiment after you have perfected the process. I am glad more and more have listened because, Smoke's Powder Works.

Better advise was never given. I used HF red PC first, worked "ok", then got Smokes - threw HF powder away. If Smoke's black BBs work better than the black airsoft BBs I picked up at WalMart, they got to be good. OR - are all black AirSoft BBs the same?

Thanks, I use both. That's a red mat under the the zombie boolits. I rotate. I like how smooth and flat the bottoms turn out with the mat as long as I shake the boolits excess PC off after tumbling. If not the excess build up runs off ang gives me a lip. With the mesh I have lines and old, other PC colors that stick to it. If I'm not running a GC the mat gives a perfect, flat, even surface.

Any tips for cleaning excess PC off silicon mats?

I also threw away my HF powder after using smokes powder, Buy BB's from him also you will actually have to tap off the excess powder. I used some plastic BB's from Walmart when I started and it makes a difference using the black ones....way better!!

I too quit buying HF and went to Smoke's. What a difference! I did however save the HF containers to house my Smokes powders, better than zip lock bags.
