Well, I understand. However the powder is extremely fine, you would need to make a lot of bullets completely coated to make any dimensional changes. You would never see any scratches. Keep in mind this powder is very, very fine. I don't recall the screen size but it is close to powdered mica.

If the powder is ULTRA fine, as Reed pointed out, I wouldn't think that a LITTLE getting outside of the jacket and in the die would make all that much difference. After all, we lap our dies with DIAMOND paste, RIGHT!!!!! DIAMOND is HARDER than tungsten!The issue is, as was stated clearly, getting powdered tungsten powder anywhere near swaging dies will scratch the dies all to hell. Not worth even trying for the sake of keeping the tools/dies safe.
They are your dies, do with them what you will.
I, on the other hand, am NOT willing to screw up any of my expensive swaging dies.
