I'd go for a 4 cavity 0.311 GC, all pins in brass, for mhkilgore...at...mac...decimal...com

It is my understanding that Miha has four group buys going on right now,
meaning he is a very busy man, as usual.
I don't know if that includes the recently shipped 358429.

In the past, he has resisted making GC and PB cavities in the same blocks,
and has called it a "logistical nightmare" for him.

He usually makes moulds in two diameters a few thousandths apart,
    like .311 and .316, or .358 and .360 and .452 and .454....
But whether or not he would want to make a .312 or .313 mould in a buy like this
is something only he can answer when the time comes.

You could state what you want, I could add it to the list, and then we will see.
You could drop out if he says no, what do you have to lose?

If he declines, powder coating, "beagleing" or "bumping" are certainly viable ways
to add an extra thousandth or two to a boolit.
And my understanding is that he usually cuts to the fat side of the spec anyway.

He has the cherry for this boolit and the program is written.
"Things are known," is how he puts it.
I have every reason to believe he will eventually run this again.
Let's just keep bumping this and adding names to the list!

I've got the original in .311 and have shot it in both 30/06 and 308 with some success. But it will not shoot out of my CZ 7.62. I've sized them with a .312 and it doesn't touch the sides, as Mihec got it spot on the .311. If it was made in .314 I might consider another one as it is a sweet looking boolit.

This bullet feeds fine in a ruger mini 30.
I do find that it doesn't like being sized from .316 to .312 with the HP.

That being said, I might have a 4 cav .316 I'd part with. I got in on NOE's ed harris bullet and I'm liking it better for the ruger.

I also use it in a 308 win and it's great.

I'm thinking not more than .314 as it will be for use in my CZ 7.62x39 and I feel .316 is too big to expect this pointy HP to size down well. Sometimes Miha's moulds cast out just a tiny bit big and I believe I want to end up shooting this around .312 - .313.

Sounds like a fair bit of interest in a .312-.313 for the 7.62x39 shooters out there. I'll buy a .313 for my CZ if it's made.

Let's keep this one current so it will hopefully get some attention from Miha.....

On the first run of this one it was only offered in two diameters of 0.310" or 0.311" (standard .30 cal) and 0.316" for fat bores. I went 0.316" for my .303's and it is a great little boolit for them.

I am shooting unsized as they cast right on the money for size and they chamber just fine. I can see that the nose might collapse some during sizing so the Lee style push through sizer would be the way to go.

Not sure why it wasn't offered in more sizes as some others were since I thought there was just one cherry that was orbited to get the different diameters. Maybe there is more to it but that was my understanding.

I really like mine. It is quite accurate and extremely explosive with the deep hollow point.

In fact I like it so much I have been thinking of getting one in 0.311" for "standard" .30 cal in case I ever run out of Lee Enfields as there are few other guns with 0.315"+ groove diameters but I doubt we will ever see the end of 0.308" groove diameter guns.

From past experience, I know that M.P. wants to have a list made here on the forum.
The more who actually want to buy, as opposed to just being interested, the better.

There is no time schedule that I am aware of, as he is essentially a one-man shop.
Being very patient is a good strategy to obtain an MP mould.

He always makes a few extra pieces during a run.
For some designs he still has some left in stock waiting to be sold.
Other designs, like this one, are completely sold out.

So even if this thread dies, I believe he would eventually make more,
simply because he is out of them and he knows people want them.

Absent your interest, that would happen on his timing, and he is a very busy man.
It just may happen sooner if there is a list like this, bumpin' along....

Looking back in post 16 Miha mentioned he was experimenting with this bullet. I had hoped it would lead to him offering some insight as to a rerun or revision of this mould. I would like to buy one (but I would also like to know what is to be offered. )

Looks like you've been keeping the list going pretty well and that is good. It's time for Miha to offer a comment or two I think.....

+1... I'd like to hear from the maestro how this mold works (or doesn't work) in the AK/SKS platform - my primary use for this mold.

Any modifications in diameter resulting from his field tests would be welcome. Speak to us, Miha.

I've tried it in several x39 bolt guns and only marginal accuracy. Mine drops dead on .311, works like a charm in my 300 BO. I need to get one a tad fatter.

    Ward O, thanks.....
You make a good point that Miha was trying this in 7.62x39 himself...

Therefore, he may be much more willing to cut this in a size that fits his Yugo M70,
and other rifles that need a slightly fatter boolit.
So I am probably wrong to suggest that he may not be willing to run that size.

I reworked the list to reflect the interest in an intermediate size.
    (and correct some mistakes)

If Miha offers the 313 or 314 I would get that at slot number 6 instead of the 316.

So I guess remove my name from number 6 and add me to the 314 crew (or make a note in number 6). I'm still in for two moulds.

With that in mind, that eliminates the interest in the 316 mould and opens up a whole lot more interest in the 313/314 mould.

Miha: what do you say about offering this mould in 311 and 314 only (and not 316)?

I'm really excited for this mould!
