Used to be the 44's were oversize - up to .432" diameter - not a problem for some of the 'fat' GB molds we've had, but the word is that they've been doing much better lately.

You ought to call their customer service folk(s) and see if they have 44 barrels in stock. They only make them in 'runs' if they are out, they will usually tell you, and tell you when the next 'run' will occur (at least get it close). I've heard of some folks getting frames with new barrels back in only 21 days - others waiting 3-4 months.

Make SURE WHAT TWIST THEY ARE GOING TO SELL YOU!!!! I've got a 444 because it has a 1 in 16 twist. They were going to send me a 1 in 38 if I had bought the .44 mag. barrel which was what I had wanted.
We need somebody/something to keep the government (cops and bureaucrats too) HONEST (by non government oversight).

Every "freedom" (latitude) given to government is a loophole in the rule of law. Every loophole in the rule of law is another hole in our freedom. When they even obey the law that is. Too often government seems to feel itself above the law.

We forgot to take out the trash in 2012, but 2016 was a charm! YESSS!

44s are in stock too. I called and they said they just got a large shipment of them in. Gonna call and see what the twist rate is.

Well I called and the twist IS 1 in 38 in. And the bore diameter is cut at .431 with a +/- .002 tolerance!!! So it could turn out to be .429 or .433! Not exactly a chance I want to take. Sorry.
