    Remington .22 ammo at auction

An online local auction site ended last night. There was an item of 331 (3 trays +31 loose rounds) of Remington golden bullet solids ammo that sold. The final amount was $113 +10% commision + 6% sales tax. I thought that those must really be `Golden bullets`?Robert

Another auction ended last night 1-18-16. Another pail of Rem .22`s sold $153! With these pails continually showing up you would think bidders would finally get the idea that these are coming from either a store front of hoarders cashing in.Robert

On ammoseek you can find that way cheaper. The expensive stuff is still way cheaper than that. $100 could get you at least 1000 rounds for expensive stuff.

I went to our local Academy and saw a strange sight. They had the "Bucket-o-Bullets" for $70. The bucket rode shotgun all the way home.

I just don't understand why people are still "panic buying" the 22LR ammo. I recently bought a bucket of 1400 rounds of Remington Golden Bullets at http://www.sportsmansguide.com for less than $80 + free shipping. If the "panic buying" would stop, the prices would lower just like primers and powder did.

Well another auction with this same company has just ended. Another `pail of bullets` went for $161.95. There were 2 boxes of Win. 555 bulk boxes of .22`s that went for $85 each. Doesn`t seem to be a lack of people willing to go that far in bidding.Robert

Wow, trade in that old ammo box of Y2K ammo and send a grandkid to college

Prices for .22 have fallen at local gun shows but availability at local Wal-Mart etc. is still poor. Like almost never in stock. So unless one looks for them in order to locate the supplies that are at reasonable prices you may simply not know that you are paying way too much.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.

Wonder what 1500 Russian aluminum 22LR's would bring at auction?
Probably could get a good price for my Black powder 22LR's too!
    Regards
    John
