I have yet to try my theory out, but those punches made for the "pointed" boolits, the 303 and 93 sure look like they would work for a lot of applications. With the long taper and no real bottom, I can't imagine they would damage too many styles of Boolits.

Use the RCBS #554. I did lap slightly to break the sharp edge.

    Hi All,

First time posting here. Ran across this old(er) thread about RCBS and Lyman top punches for Lee bullets. I am in need of an RCBS top punch for the Lee C452-300-RF mold. I'm having a real time finding this out. Could have sworn I saw this on the net somewhere a while back but can't seem find it now. I think it specified the RCBS 600, same as for the C430-310-RF. I see the Lyman 649 listed but am mostly interested in the RCBS top punch.

Anyone got an idea about this one? I didn't see it in your list, which is a great resource for the bullet caster, by the way.

    Thanks.

    Bart

LEE 358-158-RF Lyman #637 works better than Lyman #43.

Horserider, go to my post #29 and follow the link. I do believe the boolit your need a punch for is listed. Welcome to the board as well...Ray

Regarding the 365-95-1R, (9x18 Mak) I've found the Lyman #311 to work with minimal deformation to the nose. Just a slight marking which shouldn't affect the feeding.

Lyman 495 will work for for anything in 38caliber with a flatnose
Lyman 402 is perfect for Lees "sharp pointed" swc molds 105-140

A 430 should work. I have an RCBS 430 and this mold. I will try to remember to check for you tomorrow. I'll let you know if I find something that fits well.
