    Ball powders

    What are the ball powders for small pistols? Looking for easy metering powders. Surplus? TIA, MarkK

    MarkK Try Winchester 231 or even better, Ramshot ,ZIP. ZIP was formulated to approximate 231 but in my testing has cut group sizes drasticly. AA2 is supposed to be very good but in my liited testing of it both of the above powders bested it in the 32 S&W Long and 38 Special. Neil

    AA #2 has worked well for me in .38 target loads and .45 ACP target loads as well. I used up what I had so I am now using Alliant Bullseye. Thats what was available at the time from the local gunshop.
