    Yeeee haaaaa

I went to a small metal recycler today and got 100 Lbs. of sheet lead and roof flashing for $.58 / Lb. Other scrap yards in Colorado want $1.00 / Lb. for sheet lead and lead pipe. Anxious to melt it down into ingots.

    Good deal
So what flavor of Boolits is this lead going to be made into?

When I get some pocket money, I'm going to blend it with some Rotometals Superhard and some tin an use it for .45acp, .38, and 10mm. I owe this forum a huge debt of gratitude for all the knowledge I have gained lurking around here. I have even "Beagled" a mould to get .431 dia. boolits for my .44 Marlin and 444 Marlin.

I use alloy around 11 to 13BHN for my 45acp and 38s I am not sure about the 10mm.a mix close to 95-2.5-2.5 BHN should be about 11.625.It your flashing has a bit of Sb or SN it will be a slight bit more BHN

Local place sells all lead to me for 30 cents a lb. Sometimes wheel weights sometimes sheet lead sometimes just lead. Dang I am lucky for once in my life.

Look up that lead calculator somebody made here in the forums and use it to decide which 'Sweetener' to buy to smelt that stock with.
I'll bet you a nickel to a donut hole that the 'Lymans no. 2' will do the best job.
Let us know what you decide.

My 10mm plinking load is a 200gr semi-wadcutter at a little over 1000 FPS., so I should be fine with 95-2.5-2.5
